ICT IN EDUCATION COURSE: WEEK 2
The second meeting of the ICT course, we learned a number of tools in Microsoft Word that can help in learning English, these tools are spelling & grammar and therasaurus. We use these two tools
to help us in making the essay. The Spelling & Grammar function to check
whether spelling & grammatical errors in the documents we type , and
therasaurus function to search for word
synonyms.

Indonesian Character and Personality
Indonesia is home to
hundreds of different localities and ethnicities, and Indonesians are used to
hanging out and making friends with people of different religions, views and
that includes foreign tourists. The best things that make foreign tourists fall
in love with Indonesians is their characteristic and personality. Their main
characteristics include friendly, polite, and proud of traditional heritage.
Firstly, Indonesian people
are generally friendly. If you’re lost or trying to find a specific address,
you will easily find someone in the street that is willing to help you especially
if you are a foreigner, Indonesian people will always try to help you even with
their limited vocabulary. Indonesian people also tend to always smile to anyone
even though they might didn’t know each other, simply to be polite.
Secondly, Indonesians
are very polite. Indonesians rarely meet other people without a friendly but
polite handshake, even when they already know each other. They refer to other
people with titles like ‘Mister’ and ‘Miss’ all the time. And it’s not mere lip
service; Indonesian people show politeness and respect towards other people
they encounter.
Finally, Indonesian people
are proud of their traditional heritage. Many Indonesians, even those who now
live in urban areas, still identify themselves by tribes and hometowns. They have
this interesting balance of being both modern and traditional, upholding
tradition and local wisdom whenever appropriate. Those who live in villages are
certainly more in touch with their own traditional heritage, and they would be
happy to show tourists around and tell stories about their culture.
